review 1: The Perfect Stranger was one of those mysteries that has you guessing throughout. It involves a group of women who have become close while sharing their feelings about their experiences with breast cancer. When the lady who began the blog is murdered, several members meet each other at her funeral. This is the first in-person meeting and takes place as the detectives work to solve the crime(s).
review 2: DNFing this one not even through the first chapter. It's in 3rd person present tense and that is just not working for me at all. It's so jarring and I can't stay in the story. And really not caring for what I've read--it's a woman finding out she has cancer and suffering through end stages years later. I'd been wanting to try Staub but if this is her typical... more writing style it's definitely not for me. less
