review 1: This cute book is all about two sisters who are playing in their backyard. Except, due to their imagination, their backyard is not an ordinary backyard and the girls are not ordinary sisters. The older sister is a brave princess, where the younger sister is a scared panther. This story is all about their made-up adventures in their back yard when they decided to have a camp out one night. When it starts to get dark, the panther begins to get scared of all of the things that arise. When enough is enough, the panther scares everything outside of their tent away, and the girls are able to sleep the night away. This story reminded me of my childhood where I would play dress up and think up crazy imaginary stories. Children would love this story because it would also remind the... morem of the games they play! Also, the illustrations in this book are amazing! I can tell that the pictures are painted with paint, where you can see the texture immediately. The colors through out the whole book are very bright and vibrant! I honestly loved everything about this story.
review 2: "The princess was brave, and the panther tried to be." This line was repeated over and over, to the point where I was sort of tired of it. And then! This is when the story got good! Two sister, one a princess and the other a panther, decide to spend the night in a tent in the backyard. The two explore their new world, which stretches from the sandbox and kiddie pool before going to be in their red tent. Night noises nearly get the best of them, but the two sisters manage to be brave together. A really sweet story about sisters confronting their fears. Many youngsters (and some adults) will relate to the way sounds at night seems much scarier than they really are. less
