review 1: I absolutely love Whitney Gaskell and was so excited to read a new book of hers. I won't say this is my favorite of hers. I really appreciated the issues she dealt with, especially since her writing has seemed to mature with her. I found the characters likable overall; realistically we all have less than desirable character traits, so why should these characters be any different. I'm not sure I was crazy about following the different character's points of view, and I almost always prefer books written in first person (even if narrated by different characters). I found this book very realistic and I liked the way the author wrapped up the story.
review 2: This one did not do much for me. I wouldn't recommend it. I found most of the characters to be kind of irri
... moretating and several of them made some really questionable decisions. It bothered me how these supposed "friends" are also constantly trying to outdo each other by making fancier food. I suppose it could be a friendly competition, but it doesn't really feel like it. This was one of those instances where I cared what happened just enough to keep reading, but then once I was finished it was all right, I'm done with these people. I don't really care what happens to them now. less

What can I say, I'm on a light-reading bender. Saving a big book for vacation next week

I quit at page 26 and returned it for a refund. Too flat.
Shannon
It was just too, too predictable.
