review 1: I received this intriguing book as an Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review. I have to say, William O'Brien is an excellent story-teller. The page-turning novel is about a 10 yr old boy, Peter. Not to give out any spoilers, the boy is transported unexpectedly into a 'unique' realm. It goes on from there...the pace quickens. The characters are unforgettable. I highly recommend to middle-grade teens on up. Don't miss this one!
review 2: This was an interesting tale full of weird ideas about dreams and magical realms. It starts off with Peter turning 10 and getting a special present from the lady down the road. Once he travels in a magic-like clock he discovers a different world and sets off on an adventure. The ending most certainly left me sli... moreghtly creeped out and it appears this is going to possibly be a series. The poems at the end are very interesting. Not quite fantasy, not quite fairy tale, not quiet epic quest...but definitely worth a read. :)I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. less
