review 1: What surprises me is that the characters couldn't figure things out when suspicious things were right in front of their eyes with a board nailed on it saying "I'm a clue"! They literally take AGES to figure something out..It made them look stupid! This book was So predictable! While the first book was intriguing and good...this follow-up takes us on a ride of cliches. But, the major problem I have with this book is Rae's character has no development and I like that a lot in a book. But, I didn't see that in Rae. She was alone all the time and let others walk all over her. The book did have an interesting plot, but it felt underdeveloped and rushed. It felt like this book was just a fill-in before the next one comes out.
review 2: With the first book under my be... morelt, so to speak, I was really looking forward to this sequel. I was not disappointed, if anything it got better the further into the story I read. I could easily see this as being a successful movie for all those that love the paranormal.Anything is better than mundane life, right? Then you definitely want to sink your eyes into reading these books. Looking forward to getting more work from this very talented writer.Well done May! less
