What Kills Me
review 1: Bloody hell. She continued her stupidity from those first few chapters in book one. How could she possibly think that the people who wanted to kill her would just make a complete turn around and make her life their number one priority? How could she possibly trust those people? Because her existence could mean the destruction of their entire race? Because she's now being regarded as the highest of highs? She's being naive... and stupid. Didn't her recent experiences with them teach her anything? I honestly thought that all that worship and wealth got into her head and made it swell with delusions of grandeur. She may have that pathetic excuse of keeping someone safe but that's just it, an excuse.Dammit. I now mind that instalove bit in the first book because I couldn't exa... morectly imagine what Lucas saw in her. And I am not all for the whole super-powered vampire here - I just whut?
review 2: First of all, love the cover. Second, I ravaged the poor ebook under two days (two words: time management). My reaction: WOWZA. Let’s be honest, sequels sometimes get bagged on but that will not be the case with I Am Forever. Wynne’s continuation of Zee’s story was on point. In this book, Zee is “alive” (ha) and she’s now called (and treated like) the divine. Who wouldn’t love that? With super hot Lucas by Zee’s side and everyone bending to her every whim, including the stick in-her-butt empress, things seem pretty good.Nope. Not. At. All.Lucas isn’t doing cartwheels over Zee’s newly labeled divinity and Zee isn’t sure where she even belongs. Does she stay in the mucky world of vampire politics or run away with Lucas, her yummy piece of man meat? It’s kinda obvious right? Unfortunately it isn’t. This is where things get even more complex for both of them.Wynne definitely stayed true to her character’s growth and development. Book two is much much more complex and now there are so many new paths for Zee and Lucas to take.I’m looking forward to book 3 because things are getting hot in hurr!Wynne recently participated in an author interview.
