review 1: I liked this series and the world that Yasmine creates. It takes a little bit of time to get use too with the way it is written a little bit rough around the edges but overall I like the sisters and the relationship that they have together and with their friends. I wish there weren't so many sex scenes that are a little bit over the top with the way they were written but overall the stories are entertaining.
review 2: There's just something about this series that keeps me hooked. I can't quite put my finger on it. This series has some serious flaws to it at times, one of which is the ongoing feeling that eventually it's going to stretch itself far too thin ala Anita Blake, at the cost of the enjoyment of the series as a whole. However Night Huntress is fairly g
... moreood and so far, the slow release of overall plot development has worked in the series' favor. Delilah is my second favorite character in the series apart from Menolly and as such, I'm inclined to like this more than I did Dragon Wytch. Part of what really made me love this book was how Delilah grew as a character. She's the innocent one of the trio and this book hammers home that there's no going back to her initial happy-go-lucky state from the beginning of the series. Delilah is forced to make one or two hard choices here, as well as deal with the inevitable relationship issues with her boyfriend Chase. The story line here is fairly short and sweet. I'll admit that the audiobook narration helps this out greatly and I think I might have taken far longer to read this if left to the paperbacks. Campbell just does such an amazing job of capturing the voices and emotions that you can't help but get drawn in. She knows when to put just that slight bit of quavering into her voice in an emotional scene as well as various other emotions when the scene calls for it. Her accent for Iris is one of my favorite bits of the series as a whole, which makes me hope that we get an Iris centered novel just so we can have an entire book narrated in Iris's voice. Overall this isn't a bad book. I occasionally got a little frustrated with how slow the book moved and I got especially frustrated that one of the bigger fight scenes wasn't shown "on stage" in the novel, but occurred when Delilah was passed out. I can understand why this was done to a point, but it doesn't completely eliminate my desire to see the fight. I'd recommend this for fans of the series, but this was one that I'm glad I got from the library. I wouldn't say that I'm sorry I listened/read it, but I don't know that it's one I'd re-read enough to warrant purchasing it. less

Intresting story, with good characters, but at some places it was too overy dramatized.
