review 1: Oh, come on! Just spell it out for me! A wordless graphic novel. The artist follows several men on their travels each one passing another at some point. In some cases the artist magnifies the beginning frame in the rest of the frames on the page. In others, he follows the action almost like he took his video camera onto a train and then came back and drew every tenth frame from the video. Can I just say that if the artist/author has to include an index explaining about each picture, then he really hasn't communicated his message well? This is a manga...

... more annotation at the end for this wordless comic about some dudes on a bizarre train ride. The annotation is kind of interesting, but it seemed sort of ridiculous, kind of like explaining in detail why a joke should be funny. less
