review 1: I enjoyed it as an audiobook and it was okay for me. It is a nice and comfortable book, everything turned out as I expected. We knew very soon who the bad boy would be, it was clear that probably sooner or later everybody would live on the ranch.What made it a bit more entertaining was that Hunter actually was a kind of cute and straightforward guy. He never really acted jealous or so. I liked him.3,5 stars
review 2: I was torn between giving it 2 or 3 stars - in the end I settled on two.From the get go, I really wanted to enjoy this novel because I absolutely adored the first novel and I wanted to learn more about Hunter and infamous Grant. Ultimately, I just couldn't.I suppose the first half of the book I enjoyed and then suddenly, everything morphed into thi... mores huge soap opera/epic family drama with criss-crossed relationships and a whole lotta babies. Don't get me wrong, I love familial drama .. but this was bordering on ridiculous. Some of the actions/reactions just didn't make sense and honestly ... I don't think I can think of a single redeeming quality in Grant's character. He was just so .... UGH!I love other works by Zahra Owens, so I am a little surprised and disappointed by how much I disliked this book. Although this book was a dud for me, I will still be keeping an eye out for new works by this author. less
