review 1: I strongly suggest "The Only Ones" to people who enjoy novels that include mystery and a good amount of emotion. Martin and his father have been building a machine, but everything changes on his birthday. This book is a mixture of romance, mystery, a great deal of sadness, as well as some happiness. I hope that everyone-readers and nonreaders- are ecstatic about reading this fantastic, cliff-hanging novel.
review 2: I loved this book! I grabbed it from the library not knowing what to expect and could barely put it down. The resolution of the story was something I was looking forward to for days and I found myself thinking about the characters and story even while i wasn't reading. A great mix of fantasy, time-travel and coming of age stories with a very intere... moresting concept and good writing! I recommend it for everyone. less
