review 1: The book reminded me of why I first fell in love with this series. I had been highly disappointed in the the last two books. I wasn't really prepared for how emotional Tripp and Bethy's story was. I appreciated Bethy was a flawed heroine; it made her much more realistic. The flashbacks were perfect and just retelling of the same story. I only wish it were a tad longer at the end. I am so happy the series seems to be back on track.
review 2: Bethy and Tripp’s story didn’t start when he returns to Rosemary Beach. It all started one summer, eight years ago. When an eighteen year old Tripp fell in love with a sixteen year old Bethy. But when Tripp returns to Rosemary Beach, he opens up new wounds for Bethy – who never forgot the boy that broke her heart
... more, but who learned to move on – with his cousin Jace. But when tragedy strikes, Tripp is waiting for Bethy to let him be the one to pick up the pieces.I was devastated when this story first started to come to light. Jace was a favorite of mine from the start and although I wasn’t too interested in Bethy, at first – the way their love story ended did make me want more for her, for Tripp. Tripp was one of those characters that had my attention early on, when we first meet him through Della, I knew I wanted his story. But part of me still felt very guilty about how these two got a chance to tell their story.I anticipated being gutted at times, and I think most of that was my own doing. But I loved seeing both these two get a second chance at love. Finally being in the right place at the right time to make it work. I loved getting to see all the other characters as well, seeing them filling new roles. Grant remains my favorite of the boys and seeing him with his daughter was adorable. I loved how Abbi played his hotness mixed in with how swoony he was over his love of his little girl. I could read about the girls watching him with her for hours and not get bored! The one thing that sort of left me wanting more was the speed at the end. I am not sure if I just wanted more “in the present” moments or if maybe getting more of the past scenes would have made me feel like the ending didn’t occur at lightning speed. But even with that little road bump, I loved this installment and can’t wait for Mace’s story! less

I feel like I'm kind of getting immune to these type of books. But it was still very good!
