review 1: I was amazed on how good the book Getting Over Garrett Delaney by Abby McDonald is. It is the story of love between a Freshman girl and a Junior boy. As the years pass she starts too fall in love with him but he falls for another girl. The main characters are Sadie who is a freshman and Garrett who is a junior. The conflict is that Sadie is trying to get Garrett to notice her, but Garrett is not interested. But, can Sadie actually tell if he is interested or not? What I like about this book is the small amount of drama without overdoing it. I can also feel Sadie’s frustration in trying too get Garrett too like her back. Abby uses Suspense and a little bit of foreshadowing too keep the reader hooked. I just could not put this book down because I wanted to find out what ha... moreppens to the two of them in the end. This book may not be for everyone because of a small amount of graphic language, but does not leave you bored and makes it easier to understand their feelings.I would recommend this book not because of the graphic content but because it is a love story and how many teens will face the same situation. I would suggest that this book is only for girls but that is my own opinion. This is an example of the love story that i am reading is “ You have to understand: I’ve been madly, hopelessly, tragically in love with Gerrett Delaney for two years now- ever since the fateful day when I looked up from my list of the Top Ten couples of All Time and saw him sauntering into the local coffeehouse.”
review 2: Getting Over Garrett Delaney was not what I had expected it to be. I had thought that it would be a cute, sappy romance story that was just like the rest of the romance books were. Much to my delight, it was not. The book had a great plot line and even greater characters that I could later relate to as I got to know them. I highly recommend this book to teenagers and even young adults. If you are looking for a great book with strong female main character, this book is for you. less

Cute, but predictable and kind of juvenile.
