review 1: I thought this book was not as put together as the first book which was, A Tale Dark and Grimm. This book was just jumping around and didn't have as much of a solid storyline as the first one. The dialogue was totally irrelevant to the storyline and was just not thought out. The author didn't go into as much detail as he did in the first book also.At the beginning of every chapter, it just kept recapping everything that happened up until then and that was just unnecessary. So in finish, I would say stop at the first book and don't read In a Glass Grimmly. Personally, I don't think it's worth wasting your time on.
review 2: I give this a 3.5. I gave "A Tale Dark & Grimm" four due to the novelty, but it has worn off. I will read the third and final installment,... more but now now. Review is similar to "A Tale Dark & Grimm" so since I am feeling lazy I will just cut and paste it here:I never did read the original books by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, but have been schooled in at least some of the differences between what they wrote and what Disney gives us.This book came to me via my 11 year old daughter who met the author at her school and had him sign her edition. I wish her love affair with dark humor had started at 16 rather than 10, but it's here now so I must deal with it. She comes by it quite honestly anyway so who am I to deny it to her.This is great compromise between the world of Disney and the world of Grimm (or Stephen King as our 21st century story teller who gives you pause when reaching to turn out the light).This is cute and funny and yes, a bit gory too.Good take on Grimm. less
