review 1: Got this at a bargain price on the kindle store, presumably due to trying to educate the masses on the New 52 series before their film versions come out. I enjoyed it for the most part - my main draw to this was Harley Quinn, who I am a big fan of, but I did find myself liking Deadshot. Not keen on any of the other characters though which is why this didn't rate higher. Quite our but not the worst I have seen. I'm new to comics, but thought the art style was interesting enough and the storylines were a mix. Not sure I enjoyed it enough to pay £8 for the second volume though, but I may give the film a shot when it comes out.
review 2: Solid story. Solid art. I'm not terribly familiar with most of these characters, so their New 52 versions don't bother me terr... moreibly.Obviously, Harley Quinn is the big draw here, though. The stories that unfold treat her well, and handle her New 52 Origin nicely enough. I'm not a fan of the New 52 Joker seeming to actually want to have a real connection with her, though. I much prefer the idea of the Joker constantly using her. But I don't like Superman and Wonder Woman coupling up, either... so add it to the list.Deadshot is another interesting character, rolling with the punches that are delivered to him, and not much caring about anything. The way Glass plays him off against the other characters' various levels of morality works really well.King Shark is an outright hilarious addition that adds some much needed breaks from some pretty dark and heavy material. less
