review 1: I must be the only one who found this series amazingly entertaining. What more could you want from any series? There's blood and guts and espionage and a traitor in their midst and more blood. I don't get what's not to love here. I get that this isn't the ideal team, and that everyone here underutilized except for Deadshot and Harley and Waller. I would have liked to have seen a better team dynamic, but I'm settling for the fast paced blockbuster here because it's just so damned entertaining. There isn't any downtime. And I like that. This doesn't have to be a serious book. It isn't JLA. It should be what it is, and that's a cinematic thrill ride. Look, as far as I'm concerned this book has done no wrong. It's gotten almost everything right. Harley isn't too cutsie or cra... morezy, Deadshot leads like a natural and King Shark is the comic relief. There's no downside to this book, if you like these characters and don't want to see silly and uneven cameos from other best-selling books for no reason, then dive right in and enjoy the ride. Grade: B
review 2: An improvement from the first volume, but not without it's flaws.I enjoy this series a lot. It's brash, in your face and kicks some ass when it wants too. Unfortunately its filled with the same problems as the first book, simple mistakes that ruin some sections. One prime example being when Light dies in one issue, then alive and well the next, then the following she is back to being dead again. Nothing is ever said about her dying at any point, like she never existed in the first place. Come on Adam Glass, if I can notice this shit surely someone on the publishing team would have? It's problems like this that make the book less than what it could be. I'm still waiting for backstory on more of the team, so far we have only seen Harley and Amanda Waller. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I would love to see origins from King Shark, Black Spider and El Diablo. It would definitely make me more invested in the team as a whole, instead of just 1 or 2 characters. It really doesn't help that they either kill off a team member every book, it's bloody annoying and doesn't add much (if anything) to the story! This volume we find out that there is a traitor in the team (dun dun dun). This was a great opportunity to build some great tension in the team, but alas the writing falls somewhat short here as well. It just never gave the story time to build, and when we eventually find out who the traitor is it's just not that "twisty". Although in saying that it did surprise me. As for the main antagonist Regulus, he didn't really switch my interest button. We have been building up to this point over 2 books and in the end it's really quite anti climactic, but we might be seeing him again so that's all I'll say about that. Despite all these issues I had with this book I still enjoyed the crap out of it (weird I know). I enjoy the concept of this series and for the most part it works well. I have previously read volume 3 and it is a fantastic step up, so I'm looking forward to getting stuck into that next! less

Even though she barely appeared, I fault this title harshly for Harley Quinn's redesign.

I'm reading this for Harley, but the Amanda Waller backstory didn't hurt at all.

Rather hard to follow and no consistency with the plot. IMO
