review 1: It has been a while since I read the first book in this series, "The Wounded Heart", but as soon as I started reading I was pulled right back into the the series. I love Adina's writing and look forward to getting the third book in this series, "The Tempted Soul". The series is about three women who are very close friends and they are all very important in each book even though the focus is on a different woman in each story. If you like Amish stories I'm sure you will enjoy Adina's books.
review 2: I won this book from a contest online. I am glad I did! This was a great book with a lot to say about how we view ourselves vs. how others view us. Sometimes we hold ourselves back from things because we don't really believe in ourselves. Emma in this book is in... more that situation. She is 31 and unmarried. She endures gossip and innuendo from others yet she is always giving of herself in spite of everything. This is the second book in a trilogy. Although you could read this book as a stand-a-lone, it would give you a much fuller picture if you had read the first one initially. I can't wait to read the third one. I highly recommend this book. less
