review 1: I love this book! Adrienne Kress really pulled off the steampunk style well, and the characters are so loveable, I could cry. I promise you will fall in love with the author's style. I was really ticked off about the ending, but don't they say that a satisfying ending is a good ending? It was satisfying, but not the ideal ending either. I don't know how to explain it...I knew it was coming, but I really didn't want it to end!!!!
review 2: Oh, this one was a slooooow start. At times the anachronistic voice was jarring, but it gradually became less so. Whether it was the writing or merely my becoming used to it, I couldn't tell you. It was a slow build, but I do feel it paid off in the end. The last third of this book brought it up to three stars. It was excellen... moret. Recommend. Actually, planning on recommending it to my little sister (she's more the demographic than I am, I think ;) ). less
