review 1: You can wrap long-stemmed red roses or herring in newspaper or the most expensive wrapping paper and they will remain flowers or fish. This story is wrapped in a pink mist and mysteriously placed in the year 2231 but remains what it is; an erotic excursion designed to peak the reader’s imagination. In other words it is the same stuff wrapped in a new cover and neatly tied with a pink misty bow. I find it a scary thought that everything depends on sexual energy as it doesn’t bode well for people past their prime. This tale tries to convince the reader that our ancestors will need an alternative stimulant and/or motivation to practice intercourse. The premise upon which this story is based fails to be self-supporting and the filling is lacking in originality. Peak Energy... more is an empty enchilada and not worth the energy required for consumption. I rarely award single stars but to give more than one would be undeserved. I hope that this is the exception to the rule and this author is worthy of praise. I wouldn’t pass over the opportunity to read something else by Afton Locke and review it without prejudice.
review 2: I liked the idea of a short erotic read and found this Elloras Cave book available free on my Kindle, so I downloaded it and commenced to reading.Ouch, this is bad. There is no goal in this book. A scientist is looking for a way to harnass sexual energy. The sandwich delivery girl wants to 'do him' so he convinces her to be a guinea pig for his experiment. The only good thing about this book is that the male lead is very dextarious, otherwise its a confusing bore. Skip it. less

Not much of a plot. Kinda silly. Maybe if I read the series this would mean more to me???
