review 1: I should have DNF'd this book at 10%. Instead, I powered along hoping for it to get better. I let the high ratings and reviews trick me yet again. I hate when a book has all the promising elements that I normally love yet still turns out to be a disappointing wreck. Sure, let's hire a private detective to find out which mean girl ruined our college relationship. SURE, let's throw in a stalker, gunfight and a sacrificial grandma while we're at it. Dazzle me with unnecessary drama. I wish I had that exact quote from where he scraped his ding-dong on her IUD. I award this book one star for that alone.
review 2: I don't usually care for book that have baby daddys in them since I usually get frustrated with the heroine for not telling the hero about the child (pet p
... moreeeve unless there is abuse in the relationship) and usually the hero does not find out about the baby until 55% or so in the book (which gets boring), but that was not the case in this book.In this book I understood why the heroine was not able to tell the hero about the baby and the hero found out pretty quickly about the child. The story surrounded them reconnecting and finding out the culprits who tried to separate them years before. You will love both the hero and the heroine. One thing is that sometimes I was getting a little confused with all the sub-characters names...Luke, Sophie, Katy, Jack, Cara, and so on. I ended up questioning..."wait is Katy Ari's grandmother? Now who is Reed's mom again?" less
