The Marnie Baranuik Files
review 1: I love the characters in this series! Marnie is a foul-mouthed, snarky, fun character who jumps into one disaster after another due to her impulsiveness and recklessness. She's so loveable! Harry, her cold companion and endearing supporter, is her rock and anchor, albeit a sarcastic one. And Batten, Marnie's hunky infatuation, knows exactly how to pull her strings and set off her imagination. I want more!
review 2: Warning!! Although Marnie promises to swear less in this latest installment, foul language, sex, violence, dead things, and hilarity are present in the normal Baranuik amounts. These books are NOT for the easily offended! Thank goodness I am not one of them because I adore Marnie.I would have posted more hysterical status updates, but I was laughing
... moretoo hard and did not want to stop reading to post. Although I missed some of the usual characters, Patrick and the Combat Butler were absolute delights. The background story lines advanced in some unexpected and intriguing ways, with readers finally getting a glimpse of Marnie's severely dysfunctional family. I LOVE THESE BOOKS!!! less
