review 1: The setting in this book was in Europe. The main characters are : Tintin and his dog Snowy. This book is about how Tintin bought a model boat of the boat called the Unicorn.The model had a message inside it that was worth a lot.Throughout the story people try to steal the Unicorn from Tin tin. Tintin tries to get all the models of the Unicorn to get the messages inside.This is a great mystery book!I would suggest this book to people who absolutely love Adventure and mystery books!This book will get you reading for hours, I don't really like to read but this one got me reading.One thing positive about his book was that it was very Adventurous. Also one thing negative about this book is that it took kinda long to get to the parts with lots of action.I really liked this book ... morebecause it was long so i could read it more.I really do suggest this book!
review 2: I'd watched the film 'The Adventures of Tintin' on a plane a few years ago but on a 9 hour flight so unfortunately I don't remember a lot of it. Therefore I don't really know how closely the book follows the film.The way it is written though is as if the author has copied down everything that happens in the film. It has gags and thrilling moments that would work fantastically as a motion picture but doesn't quite work as a book. In saying that though the author's descriptions are brilliant and he really manages to set the scene.It's very easy to read and exciting enough for you to keep going. It leans more towards young adults but is still enjoyable. less
