review 1: I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.I must admit that when it comes to these types of books I am biased. I like reading about and knowing about useless bits of trivia. I don't know why because I sure don't care about knowing and reading about useful information but I digress. This book is laid out in an easy to read way. It is categorized by the trivia it offers. It gives you information in small chunks (very few entries are more than a couple sentences long). This is one of those books that will go on my shelf and in a few months I will pull it down again to read. I think this would make a great gift for that person in your life that you cannot seem to think of anything to give them. I can see people who don't like to read enjoying this ... morebook as well. It was an easy five star earner if for nothing else than the gathering of these strange facts to put together in book form.
review 2: This is an okay little book. Not a lot of substance to it, but some cool little factoids.Who knew that apple pie wasn't 'American'?The author suggests that the British came up with this 'invention' first.Disclaimer: The author is British.Who knew that Germans eat more apples than Americans - by a long shot?If you like learning little 'weird' things like that, you may like this book. less
