review 1: I have to admit, I was and still am really disappointed of this book - I expected it to be a nice and fun christmas read... First of all, it's not very christmas-y at all, in fact christmas is only ever mentioned at the beginning of each chapter where the reader is told how much time there is left until christmas. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are not part of the story either. Concerning the main character, Georgie... isn't she annoying? Jumping to conclusions all the time, expecting the worst case scenario and pitying herself - that's not my favourite type of character. This book might entertain a lot of readers, but for me it turned out to be frustrating and disappointing.
review 2: This is a fantastic follow on to Cupcakes at Carrington's - The drama never
... more stops along with the laughter. Alex has really brought the feel to Christmas, fame and fortune to the store and keeps the readers entertained with all the characters we know and love already, as well as bringing in new one's. Descriptions in this book do not disappoint at all and makes the reader feel as though they are there. Brilliant, cant wait for next one. less
