review 1: **Spoiler**I know it took me forever to finish this book and that might appear to mean that I didn't enjoy it, but that is not true, I actually enjoyed this book, but I got caught up reading 50 other books in between so it kind of got lost in the shuffle! This was a nice read to me, I think I like the fact that, in this series, usually by the end of the book, you will know which character the next book will be about. I enjoyed this one in particular because it featured Anna, who turned out to be an ancestor of Arthur, and she was being hunted by her dear sweet many times over aunt Morganna LaFey!! I enjoyed watching Anna's interaction and story build up with Cezar, a very smoking hot sexy vamp, whom she'd be on the tail of for the past 2 centuries, unbeknownst to her, that... more he was leading her about, and not her "tracking" him down!!!! All the books have basically the same theme, girl, whether human, demon, vamp, witch, or other, meets boy, so far all of a vampire persuasion and internal battles to avoid attraction pursue, girl ends up life and death situation, boy at a lost for why he is softening to girl vows to protect her at the cost of anything, including his life, and the journey bring the two closer together until **sound the harps** they both realize THIS IS LOVE!!! LOL! I am not complaining, being a true romantic myself, this story followed the same guidelines, in the end, all was well, girl and boy are happy in love, Levet continues to bother every boy in the series, but all the girls adore him!! LOL!!! I am really looking forward to the next story featuring Jagr, the emotionally/physically scared recluse vamp! I suggest if you want a simple fun loving adventurous read about sexy aggressive powerful vampire men, and the wide species array of women who love them, pick this series up!
review 2: This is book 4 in the Guardians of Eternity series. For once one of the front cover blurbs got it right "A darkly erotic adventure" This is formulaic paranormal romance at its hottest! I haven't read the first 3 books but I'm sure that I'm not missing too much of the underlying series plot-line. The books don't give much in the way of catch-up but based on the current information given you can figure out what happened in the past. You'll be sick of the overused word "husked" by the end but that's a minor issue. If you're looking for a HOT paranormal series then I suggest checking this one out, it's not as good as Sherrilyn Kenyon but that's a pretty high standard so... enjoy! less
