review 1: This was a fun read. Things I liked:1. It revolved around a girl who was killing it in the world of cross country running. A rather underrated sport, which I happen to love. 2. Pepper. She is a great character when it comes to her dedication and conviction regarding running, her grandmother and her friends. She is unapologetic about her lack of party and boy experience, and tends to be very honest. I can totally admire these qualities. 3. Ryan. He comes across as a total doll, and a total gentleman. He is also, a badass runner. 4. Grandma/Bunny. She is the comic relief and I thought she was hysterical.Things I hope to learn more about:1. Jace. His profile, for me, is still filled with holes. I need to fill them in order to figure him out. Overall: Good, sports rom... moreance.
review 2: DNF around 30%. I wanted to like this book, I really did. It just didn't do it for me. The idea was there but the writing was lacking and reminded me of how a novice writer would decide to write a book. There were unnecessary details given that made the book drag on and the dialogue just didn't seem natural to me. Also Pepper Jones. I wanted to give her a good slap upside the head for choosing Jace continuously over Ryan. When a guy treats you like crap, it doesn't mean to throw yourself at him even more Pepper!! less

3.5 stars. Too much back and forth. Unnatural dialogue.

Complete fluff but sometimes that's all you want.
