review 1: This one is really hard for me to rate. It was very hard to get into the story in the beginning. When I was reading chapter 2, I was wondering if I have missed another chapter, or some pages. I was utterly confused. I didn't know what was going on, it was very disorienting. It felt as the main character had multiple personality disorder, or as she was bipolar. That feeling that her personality kept changing through the book continued, but the story became more narrow and straight forward and it was easier to follow and get into. I didn't like Lilly for the majority of the book, but started to warm up to her little bit by the end. I will read the next book since the story doesn't end in this one.
review 2: I REALLY wanted this to be a 5 star book-like REALLY wan
... moreted it to be. It has all the trappings of my favourite things- sexy rock stars, smart and witty female, traveling and a touch of kink But alas for me this book just fell short- I would give it 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4. I felt this book was over written-simply over thought-which is funny when you think about Lilly's character who is a chronic over thinker. I felt a disconnect between Tristan and Lilly's relationship and didn't get the connection but went with it because when we finally got to read some sexy time scenes they were nice and steamy. I felt things jumped around and I would get lost in Lilly's pandering and found myself uninterested in her voyages of thought. Also whats with Lilly and tears? I mean c'mon! stop sobbing constantly! it really took away from her character for me. I am happy that I waited to read this book until after the second one came out so I could read it immediately after without any lag time. Will I read it again? nope, Do I hate it? Nope just feeling a little let down. less
