review 1: I actually really enjoyed this book. A lot of people give it criticism because it is in-depth with the music scene, it is "slow", etc. For me, it was perfect. Not really a "erotic" story but definitely a romance. The details in the book are spot on with the rock and roll lifestyle. Some are upset that Lily learns a lot about Tristan via third person and not directly from him; however, if you step back, I can understand why he choose to have her learn the, well, unsavory, parts of his past from an outsider. That way, it couldn't be tarnished and she could not accuse him of leaving something out or blowing things out of proportion to scare her away. It makes sense in a way. I enjoyed how it ended as well, and am looking forward to the third book (please tell me there is a t... morehird book)!
review 2: I liked this follow-up book. I just really like Severin's writing... it's unusual & different which makes it interesting, although I think she's pretty paranoid & initially sees the worst in people before giving them a chance, as is shown in Lily's personality *shrug* Anyway, I liked this book even more than the first. It evoked many more emotions out of me, mainly anger at Tristan's behavior after his concert. Jerk. But I was glad at how it all turned out & not disappointed in the least ;) less
