review 1: I liked the concept and I enjoyed the set up but unfortunately this just seemed like the introduction to the book. Blythe is a likeable main character, but Dax annoyed me with his expectation that Blythe should be with him and getting angry with her when he hasn't even told her she loves him. Blythe is painted as the bad character in this love triangle quite undeservedly from what I can tell. just because Dax is her best friend and saved her life doesn't mean she owes him shit.

This time they bring a human with them, Gage, the uncle of a cyborg child. Blythe likes Gage and is impressed when he risks his life to save his cyborg niece. Dax doesn't like or trust him. But they discover that his niece is very special. This short story is full of action and suspense and ends with a cliff hanger as a teaser for more. less
