review 1: The beginning of the book moved a little too quickly, but she soon got into a rhythm. The flashback setup built suspense for me. By the end I couldn't put the book down until I found out what happened! I really enjoyed (yet also found it extremely depressing) reading more about Partition. It was one of those events I had vaguely heard of, yet didn't know the details. Great book especially if you historical fiction.
