review 1: I loved Allie Mackay's Highlanders! Each and every one of them! This whole series has made me want to sell all I own and hop the first plane to Scotland and find my own "Highlander of my dreams".. What a wonderful fantasy these books offer, and the romance is almost to much to bear! I know that from now on I would take a "melt your panties off" Scottish burr over any other accent in the world! I already have the next book, Haunted Warrior, all though I don't think it is part of this series, she ties this book in just as wonderfully. And I am sad & anxious all at once to finish it!
review 2: About half-way through the book I realized that the author must have been worried her story did not have enough to publish, so she described everything. Or she went on and ... moreon about how mad Mindy was. Or she went on and on how Mindy hated Scotland....and no love scene until almost the end of the book. It was entertaining, but I'd just had soon read the beginning and then skipped to the end. If you like this series, you should still read this one because it sets up the next book with Mindy's pagan sister, Margo. Just check it out of library. less
