review 1: This is a book every young woman should read...her mom too. I thought this was a very realistic story about a girl named Juliet with everything going for her...varsity basketball, an "almost" boyfriend, a driver's license and newfound freedom. Then life happens and things change. Change is a scary thing. Her relationship with her sister is changing too and all because of her sister's eating disorder. It would be a lot for anyone to deal with. I found Ally Condie's dialogue realistic and straight forward. The storyline was easy to follow and of course you rooting for triumph for Juliet and her sister Carly. This novel was very inspiring and I feel any teenager would benefit from reading it.
review 2: Juliette turns sixteen and thinks everything is going t
... moreo be perfect. She can finally date and life is just going to be great because there is no way it can't be. Little does she know that nothing is going to go as she planned on it going.I really liked this book. It was about healing and having friends. It was about sticking with your family through thick and thin. Yes, it was an easy read and can be read in a few hours (for me anyway), it is one book that I will go to when I am feeling down. less
