review 1: The third book in the series is very dark and although it does advance Chloe's and Timothy's romance, Amanda has shifted the playing field enormously in regards to the other characters. I am a bit disappointed in the direction she has gone with her supporting cast and hope that my favorite two troublemakers end up in book 4. Grandfather Zook continues to charm me with his wisdom and love for both his grandson and Chloe. Many loose ends at the end of this book which assures the reader that book 4 is coming! I do like the cliffhanger at the end of the story and look forward to the next part in this series!
review 2: Another great book by this author. I am loving the characters more and more and this book really kept me guessing, plus it had some surprises about... more the characters not related to the mystery. I couldn't decide between three possible suspects. I love it when I just don't know till the very end of the book who done it! Amanda Flower is one of the best cozy mystery, mystery suspense, romantic mystery writers I've read in years. I was in the mood for a Christmas mystery at this time of year and read this one on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was hard to put down, even in the midst of the festivities. less
