review 1: I found this to be one of the best books that I have read in a while. I thought that the author did a wonderful job of having well-rounded characters as well as having great detail to her stories, (without having too much detail there by slowing down the flow.) I would highly recommend reading this book! I appreciated that the author did not fill it with unnecessary profanity or vulgarity, both seem to fill books now days. Excellent job!

Maybe it was that the heroine had so few likable qualities, or that when she finally found love, it was so tepid and anticlimactic. ... mored jump inexplicably--most notably at the end, where it does a bad segue from one bonfire to another, and suddenly the story has resolved, skipping over all the details of how we got there. I dunno. Maybe like India, the story was just too lacking in emotion to draw me in. For all her supposed skill at inspiring passion in others, I just didn't see it in action. less
