review 1: This one was good - kept shy of great by the unfathomable romance. There wasn't any real connection between the two & the relationship seemed forced. The mystery itself was interesting and there were lots of suspects to keep you guessing. The setting was intriguing and the handling of the ghosts was well done. I often got chills reading and liked the spooky stuff enough to want to pick up the next one to see what happens.
review 2: This book seemed to drag on and on for me. The main problem was that I didn’t care for the main characters, Amelia and Devlin. Amelia spent most of the book dwelling on her attraction to Devlin to the point of obsession. It didn’t help that Devlin was a dull character without much of a personality. I’d have liked to have lear... morened more about the secondary characters in the book, since I thought they were much more interesting than Amelia and Devlin. There were some good creepy scenes in the book, but unfortunately this was not enough to save it for me. less
