review 1: Beatless by Amber L. Johnson is one of those books. You know the ones. They make you feel. Feel like you are spying on your neighbors or a trusted friend. Feel invested in the characters. It is emotional and sometimes raw. Despair, loneliness, hope, love, excitement, I felt it all. The story felt almost effortless. I could visualize Mallory in all her teen aged angst and eventual growth. Tucker, the lead male in Beatless found a place in my heart because of his choices early in the story and he stayed there. Aunt Sam is that confidant that every one teen could use. I recommend this book.
review 2: This book is marvelous. And an incredible gift to everyone that reads it. It's filled with truths that stare at us but that we tend to overlook. It reminds us of what
... more is true and good in life and helps us see what is clearly there for us to see. It's a love letter to life and love and acceptance. It is all that is good with life. A fantastic first published book by an author I expect to read from this day forward. I read her stories before she published this and she is the real deal. I can't wait to see where she goes from here because I'm in for the long run. less
