Dark Whispers by Bruce Coville
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
After finally finding a copy of the hardcover (this doesn’t exist in paperback) I devoured this book too. It is the third book in the series and there is a lot going on here in this book. It shows by how much bigger it is than the last two books in the series.
Continuing the plot in the magical land of Luster Cara is given the task of learning a story from the Chiron, leader of the centaurs. However, their trip does not go as planned. The group of five start out easily but soon enough the three unicorns, two humans, and dwarf are split into three groups each with their own objective as the plot to hunt and kill the unicorns thickens.
I’m fully tempted to go back and reread this book again as I said there are many things going on in this book. We find out about the rainbow prison, meet the mysterious Fallon, playful Rajiv, and the unpredictable dragon, Ebillan, as well as a handful of Centaurs.
