review 1: There was an error in my ebook copy the entire story was double hence i was duped to believing i still have a long way to go. By the time Demetrius was taken care of I keep wondering if this is the climax of the story at this point why there are still many pages to go? so that's when i determined there was something wrong. Anyways, i did get to read Megan given the chance to use her born given sharp shooter talent to take down a couple of bad guys but not the crazy Demetrius himself. The reason how he met his death was kinda anti climax. I was expecting some action packed thrilling show down between Demetrius, Antonio and even Megan in the background but nahhh! it didn't happened that way. I felt like i was cheated with that chance to off him. In the beginning the waiting ... morearound was kind of dragging and there are things that might be broiling between Vito and young Erin but the age gap was quite wide but i was thinking perhaps in a spin off series it will be their story like a couple of years after. So i was right with my hunch that the next installment will be Vito and Erin's titled "Mobster's Angel" after the conclusion of Antonio and Megan's story in this book. I am quite intrigued with this two. Since Vito is like a ticking bomb that might go off when he is being held back for far too long. He is d*mn loyal to Antonio though and in this book he takes a special attention and care towards Erin because she was feeling fragile with all the sudden realities about their father's life and the world of the underworld. The reason i also was not satisfied with this conclusion was that Megan decided to forgo to pursue college to marry Antonio and join the family business. I get that she wants to be with Antonio and feels strongly that her destiny was to stay beside him as his partner but i was still a bit irked that she gave up education at such a young age. Oh well i guess that is their HEA after all.
review 2: The author provided me with a copy of this book for my honest review The third book in the Mobsters series starts right where the second one left off, Megan and Erin are now ensconced safely in a casino of a mob boss. Antonio is still trying to clean up the mess and find the traitors, Megan is trying to help her sister get over the trauma. The two of them are having to spend a lot of time apart, they miss each other and the stress of mob life is weighing on both of them. I started reading this book as soon as I finished the second one, this series is really addicting I just couldn't put it down. I loved how the characters seemed to mature through out this book. The ending had me clapping my hands in joy, again I don't want to give to much away. This was another fast paced quick read, the violence is disturbing and provides a great contrast to the sweet love story between Megan and Antonio. This book was a good addition to a great series, Amy has written another book that has to be added to my favorites list. I can't wait to get my hands on Vito and Erins story and will probably beg the author shamelessly for an ARC. less
