review 1: Once I stepped into the world of Avening I was captivated. Autumn the "Good Witch" or maybe even the caretaker of this magical town, there to help those that come to her with their problems. She will help you but you may not always like the resolution, there are always consequences in life. I thought the women in the book were strong characters each one with their own amazing gifts. For Autumn the prospect of having to find her replacement and twelve other sisters with equally amazing gifts to share brings with it the realization that it is time now to move on and leave her town and her dreams behind to find new ones. I loved the individual storylines of the women she is considering for the sisterhood. I will definitely be recommending this book.
review 2: I ad... moreored this book! The story centers on the women of Avening and the owner of a magical herb shop named Autumn. The story follows the lives of 13 women in Avening who are chosen to form a new order of witches. It is Autumn who is chosen by her order, the Jaen, to select a replacement For herself from among the women. The stories about each of the women and the special powers they have are charming. Great story all around! Easy, quick read. less
