review 1: This is sincerely one of the worst books I've read in a long time. It's basically the fictionalized version of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and it's just done SO POORLY. I would say that within 50 pages, I realized that it was going to be awful, but it was a little bit like a train crash: I couldn't look away. It didn't take me very long (THANK GOD), but oh lord, it was bad. Don't read it. Just don't. You won't be missing a damn thing.
review 2: Aspiring young actress Maddy Freed is drawn into mega-actor Steven Weller's world both professionally and personally as she gets starring movie roles, and eventually marries Steven. But is all is not as it seems as Maddy soon learns that Steven might be a better actor than she thought, particularly in their marriage, a... morend Maddy has to decide how much of herself she wants to give up. I felt these characters were very real and human, despite their celebrity status in the novel, and the theme of losing oneself to another person was well portrayed and also very real. less
