review 1: A derelict spaceship is floating around out there, a fabulous treasure for the lucky sod who manages to capture it. What happened to the crew and passengers? What happened to those who've tried to salvage it over the years?It reminds me of Asimov's scifi mysteries, which I dearly loved back in the day. Of course, in '53 this would have been notable for having a smart, capable, unattractive female in a starring role. And a cat.Fun.
review 2: Terribly boring, kept waiting for it to get to the point. What's that? Cats are special? There's a woman that has a cat and keeps to herself and might possible be crazy and some ghost-like alien thing is haunting one of the most valuable spaceships ever (that's just been floating around in space for years) and it's keeping e... moreveryone away except the woman who has a cat and shoots the ghost-alien thing because the cat didn't like it... okay then. My first Andre Norton story, I seriously hope there's something better out there. less
