review 1: Dreams will come true while others are shattered. Bo and Ember face one of their biggest trials yet. And while things haven't always been easy for the two of them, they always seem to come through stronger than before. Although I had my doubts this time around. There was so much emotion in this book. There were moments that made me tear up in joy and grief, moments that made my heart melt. Everything I've come to expect from an Andrea Randall book. I didn't realize how much I missed these characters until I started reading this book. I have always loved the relationship between Bo and Ember and the friendship between Bo, Ember and Regan. I am sad to say goodbye, but their story ended beautifully! I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest opin... moreion.
review 2: This is one of my all time favorite series! I 've loved each book and I am sad that this is the last one. I couldn't jump into it on release day. I needed to do it on my own time. Saying goodbye to characters that I love wasn't going to be easy. I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted to savor it.First of all I love Andrea Randall's command of the language. Sometimes when I read I know the words are beautiful but they just don't fit. That is never the case with her writing. In turn she elicits an entire spectrum of emotions with her words. Emotions so real and so raw you feel like you're a character in the story. And oh what I wouldn't do to be a character in this story.I guess it's time to come clean. I LOVE Bo Cavanaugh. I've loved him since the moment he walked into Finnegan's, or maybe it was the first time he sang with Ember, or was it..... well hell it doesn't really matter. All I know is that Bo Cavanaugh is a high standard and that few can compare.I was enjoying this book. Getting to see all of the relationships that have been forged throughout the series, the new ones that were forming and anticipating where they would all lead. Then it happened, that one moment that changed the landscape of the book. And as much as I hated what happened between Bo and Ember it was exactly what I needed out of this book. I needed the two of them to fall apart. I wanted the struggle and to see them come out on the other side whole.I needed to see the man who had lost just about everyone he had ever loved get angry, lose himself in grief and denounce the one thing that had gotten him through it in the past. All the while my heart broke for Ember as she lost in this book too. Grief stricken and feeling abandoned she finds strength and comfort in the very faith that her husband was letting go. Their journey has never been easy and this could have broken them both. But to see them pick themselves up, admit their faults and failures and fight for each other was stunning.Thank you Andrea for the perfect ending to a story that I will love for a thousand lifetimes! less
