review 1: I had heard a lot about this book and it had been on my TBR list for quite a while. After reading the synopsis, I knew it was going to be an emotional read. What I didn't anticipate was how much I would struggle with the storyline. This first part of this book was difficult for me to read. The heroine is suffering from depression and it was depressing to even read about! The writing is so well written that you truly feel her desperation and anguish. Though it was hard to get through, it was necessary to truly understand and appreciate where this character was coming from and to be able to rejoice in her vitality. Ryker and Natalie's journey was a beautifully written story about the healing power of love, forgiveness and acceptance. I loved the complexity of the characters ... moreand how the author went between past and present to tell this intricately woven tale. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for a deep, emotional read.
review 2: In The Stillness is truly a breathtaking read by Andrea Randall. The storyline had me from beginnning to end. I think Andrea did a fabulous job of setting up this book and keeping you in the present throughout the book. There was the occasional flashback but when she did go back to the past she kept it short and it worked perfectly for this book. The characters were so well thoughout with so much depth and emotion that you felt the instant connection. At the beginning of the book yes I was so pissed at Natalie and the way she was taking the role of a mother that at times I just wanted to slap her, but by the end she truly redeemed herself as a mother. If you want a truly great book with no cliffhanger then I would highly recommend In The Stillness. less

Touching story but was kind of disappointed that there is no epilogue. Nevertheless 4.5 stars!
