review 1: I chose to read this book because the blurb sounded really intriguing. I wasn't disappointed! I kept turning pages to see what happened next. The only teensy thing that bugged me was the time frame of the story. Most of the book is about Parrish's past. The story from the past seemed like it should have taken place in the roaring twenties, maybe. At least in my opinion. It would have been a perfect story from the prohibition era. And maybe the relationship between Parrish and the ghostly past could have been grandmother/granddaughter. Other than that, I was really engrossed in the storyline and look forward to future books in the series.

We are introduced to Parrish Locke, a 27 year old model in the twilight of her modelling career, who is doing a ski wear shoot in West Virginia. Parrish lives with her boyfriend, Ryan, a photographer who travels to wild exotic places. With all of their travelling, they have a tough time getting together, but it seems to work for them. Parrish has plans of taking up photography herself when she is done with modelling and is learning the trade from Ryan. Being lonely in the Inn, Parrish decides to go out to a club on the other side of the mountain. On her way down the twisting icy roads she swerves off the road and has an accident, ending up in a cemetery. What happens next transforms us into another time and place involving us in the lives of another couple, Karlie and Dominic. Karlie and Dominic have the ultimate love story. A member of a powerful Mob family, Dominic whisks Karlie away from the life she was living and sets her up as his mistress. Their poignant journey together reveals many a surprise along the way. It is not unexpected when they fall deeply in love. As independent, feisty Karlie struggles to find herself, Dominic recognizes her capabilities better than she does and helps her in every aspect. All Dominic asks of Karlie is that she trust him. Ah trust, that is easier said than done. You may think and say that you trust someone, but when push comes to shove, do you really? Does Dominic really have Karlie's best interests at heart putting her above all else. That is something Karlie struggles with and, eventually, what decides this couple's fate. I thought I knew what was going to happen but, to my absolute delight, I didn't. How does this all involve Parrish? Well now, that would be giving away too much of the story that you are absolutely going to dive right into and eat right up. The intertwining of the lives of Parrish, Dominic and Karlie was seamlessly done and leads Parrish on her own journey. From the ending, it appears this journey will be ongoing, and I sincerely hope it is, because I will devour each and every Limbo series book that comes out. Secret Whisper incorporates a little bit of everything, romance, suspense, sex, betrayal, heartrending emotion, mob-related intrigue, all wrapped up in a beautifully written package less
