review 1: I loved this book. Paula was courageous in making the decisions she made in the book. Her partner Fotis was a kick, and I'm personally fascinated by eagles so enjoyed the unique storyline. Don't we all at some point dream of taking off into the unknown to escape? I give it a 4.5 because there were a few paths that the author started down but didn't explore so probably should have been left out altogether. Highly recommend!
review 2: I am such a sucker for books with animals, especially dogs. I think without Fotus, I may have given a rating of three stars. The story goes develops in a way that does not mirror reality, which bothers me a bit. However, it is in pursuit of making a point that the author goes this direction, so I can overlook it for the most pa... morert. It's a touching read and inspires one to fly out of the nests we create in this life to explore the big, wide world that exists without. less
