review 1: Nearly did not finish.... But SO worth it! Second half was very strong writing and concepts!First half needs re-working. It floated around and I almost gave up. There were some responses to comments that were strange and the characters needed a few more key conversations for us to love them (cute nice funny words).HOWEVER...... Once it took flight it soared. Very well done, very interesting. This is the first book (out of about 50) that I have intentionally highlighted excerpts and will now go back and cement them as quotes so I can refer to them.I was borderline after the sample but trust me it improves out of sight. Two* to three* stars for the first half - five* stars for the second. If you liked this - I think you will also love 'The Lonely' and also 'Escaping Reality'. T... morehe second book mentioned is at least two parts - as recommend in my review I would buy the first one and sit on it as the second is not out yet.
review 2: I'm giving the book three stars because it held my attention. But, I have read a few of the reviews and I'd have to agree with one in particular. The book was extremely depressive. I am a mental health counselor and it read very much like a personal experience and I expected to read that the author, Andrea Wolfe experienced something similar, or if not first hand, she knew of someone it happened to, which would have be okay, but, I felt like very little hope for Simone and Aiden. Both people experienced traumatic events in their lives, and are suffering from PTSD and quite possibly one is bi-polar. It was hard to not wear my Therapist hat as I read this, and after a while, I was beginning to not take the Psychiatrist seriously. I felt like I could be doing therapy with both of these individuals. I would also have placed a caution on the book, not only that it was for mature audiences, but, it is also of a very heavy and serious content. All that being said, the book wasn't boring and it did hold my attention. I was able to finish it in a day. I will also pass this onto client suffering from a traumatic event. less

I enjoyed the book. Its heart warming to see two broken souls and repair each other.
