review 1: I received a complimentary copy of this book by the author for an honest review. I loved the book, it was sweet, passionate and a very enjoyable read. Having lived in Boston and doing a successful job Ally has found herself forced to return back to her boring hometown for a family reunion. Little did she know that the reunion would bring about changes in her life. Ally bumps into her brothers old friend Jackson and when they talk things don't go too well. But that doesn't stop Jackson thinking how hot his best friends little sister has got. Again they bump into each other and Ally and Jackson start hanging out, Jackson learns her about MMA fighting and she trains with him and they bond while exercising. But nothing can happen as Ally is leaving in a few days. Until she get... mores some devastating news that makes her look at life, love, and her hometown differently. Ally then decides to stay a little longer, but will it be her down fall and will she leave with a broken heart. A heartwarming, touching, emotional love story, I enjoyed reading every bit of this story.
review 2: 3 Stars!**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**So I'm asked: Would you like to read a book about a two people from a small town agreeing to have a relationship for only two weeks in a standalone story told in dual POV's with a HEA and oh yeah the hero of the book does MMA?My response: Hells yeah I would! Two Weeks tells the story of Ally Moore who is not a fan of small town life so much so she has left her small town behind to live in Boston. Ally gets summoned back to her small town Red Lake for a family reunion by her Mum. It's during this trip back home that her life changes forever when she meets Jackson Ames. After receiving an upsetting phone call from Boston, Ally decides to take advantage of holiday time she is due and decides to stick around in Red Lake for two weeks. This is when she agrees to have a relationship with Jackson with a mutual agreement they'll go there separate ways at the end of the two weeks.Jackson for his part has no problems accepting this arrangement as he is living a very lonely existence when he's not fighting due to a some tragic events. What follows is a heart warming read involving a very likeable couple, a bit of drama, angst and sex scenes that are hawt! There really was a lot to like about this book but I had to knock off a star as there were a few mistakes such as Ally's age changing, wrong words and an incomplete sentence at one point but you really shouldn't let that put you off. Especially as it seems to be a rare thing lately to get a book that is a standalone. less
