review 1: Excellent read. The author outlines how the "Progressives", Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, did much to destroy the constitutional freedoms and liberties our Founders intended for us to enjoy. It's clear that their successors and the elected officials have perpetuated the stifling of our liberties. Anyone who is disgusted with our present day politics should review the damage Theodore and Woodrow did in their time and how we still live with those consequences. The Progressive movement isn't progress at all - it's a way to control and suppress the populace.
review 2: This book was so unsettling and infuriating, why do i subject myself to such torture? A few precious years were likely drained from my life due to the added stress. Yeah, I had to take it in,
... more in small doses, for I was getting weary of shaking my head in astonishment and disgust. Oh my word, what dastardly evil, evil, evil men! This book is one horrific story after another of the multitude of injustices Americans have endured or have perished of, as a result of "Progressive" politicians grabbing power in utter disregard for the constitution. It just shows me that the Constitution is kind of like the little rope and peg that keeps the Elephant stationary. The ropes only power is psychological, and Lincoln, Theodore, Woodrow, FDR, Bush and Obama (And the slew of them in-between) knew this and had little regard for the constitution, and yeah, like with the Elephant that pulls the rope, there is nothing about the constitution that can hold them back. Since there is no justice at the Supreme Court and the whole congressional system is corrupt, there is no one to hold them accountable and there are not even any whistle blowers because the mainstream media is in bed with progressive politicians. It's simple sick. less
