review 1: I found this on a list of "books your kids would love to read this summer," and then happened to find it at a used book store. My 10 year old finished it in 20 minutes and loved it. My just-turned-9-y.o. ALSO read it in one sitting, and said, "Mom, you have to read this!" So I did.Part text, part comic (in the manner of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Stick Dog), this is creative and fun for the younger set. Juvenile humor at its finest, with a lovely story-within-a-story that delighted my daughter to no end.Who wouldn't want a 13 story treehouse? Now we're on the lookout for The 26 Story Treehouse!
review 2: Advice for those wanting to read this book,if characters who can't focus or finish their task until the last second annoy you this book may not be for you. I und... moreerstand how it may appeal to a certain audience, and I predict that the tween book club I supervise will mostly have liked it, but I must say the book was not for me. I was annoyed by Terry's character. His creativeness wasn't written in an endearing way or even his lack of focus. However since I see where it can appeal to some, mostly reluctant readers or comic/humor fans I'll give it 3 stars. less
