review 1: Lizzie is back with Gramma & her biker babes... because who else would help her celebrate a high society wedding for a witch demon slayer? Angie Fox has added to her Demon Slayer line with this fifth installment, featuring Lizzie & Dmitri's wedding. It's a typical story for Lizzie of what can be weird, will be - like her uptight Mom finding a wedding venue that actually has witchy vibes to it. The old (& odd) biker babes are kicking up their heels to celebrate... which is scary. Very cute story and you can read it as a standalone - but if you really want to be "in" on some of the jokes, it's best to start from the beginning! I wonder if there is a Demon Slayer Baby in the works...??
review 2: Lizzie Brown was adopted and raised by a prestigious family in A
... moretlanta, Georgia. When she goes looking for her biological family she discovers her grandma. Grandma turns out to be not only a witch but belongs to a coven of over 25 Harley riding biker witches. Lizzie determines that her life as a properly raised southern, elementary school teacher is not her true calling. She learns she's actually a natural born demon slayer. She also is now able to understand and speak to her Jack Russell, Pirate. She meets Dimitri, a very handsome Greek and shape shifting Griffin. Now, Dimitri and Lizzie are planning to be married and her adoptive mother, Hillary, wants it done up to Atlanta's society standards. Lizzie would marry Dimitri anywhere in a heartbeat, but she caves in to Hillary's demand for an extravagant week of wedding parties at an ominous, turn of the century, California mansion. She is already worried about how her mother will take the news about her being a demon slayer, grandma being a witch or that her fiancé and his family are Griffins. Lizzie hopes this will be an opportunity for the families to come together. However Lizzie keeps hearing a voice asking for help and after arriving at the estate she sees the ghost of a young woman several times. She also discovers demonic symbols around the grounds. This is the fifth book in the series and the third that I have read. You really do not need to start with the first book, but I still eventually plan to read it. The book is light and entertaining. I love the characters and the fact Lizzie can understand and carry on a conversation with her dog, Pirate.I have not received any compensation for this review and I do really like the series. Since I was a small girl I have believed in magic. less
