review 1: This is the second book in Angie Fox's Biker Witches series and she continues to write a fast paced, clever and fun plot to read. In this book Lizzie has now accepted her powers and must learn how to become a demon slayer. She has no clue what she is supposed to do as a "demon slayer" and her grandmother believes in giving her advice depending upon the situation. I want to say that Lizzie was a little bit more whiny in this book than the first book; but I also forgave her as she is so frustrated because there is no one to train her to be a demon slayer but everyone expects her to slay every demon that she meets. All of her support system is with her for this adventure in Las Vegas - her grandmother and her coven of biker witches, her Jack Russell terrier, Pirate and Dimi... moretri, her shape-shifting griffin boyfriend/protector. Plus we meet some new characters like her fairy godfather/uncle Phil and Max, a demon hunter.Lizzie and Dimitri's relationship was tested in this book. Dimitri tries to "protect" Lizzie by going ahead of her to Las Vegas to handle the succubi invasion himself; but this is a battle that he can't win alone. Apparently, succubi love griffin energy and he is being sucked dry. We see Dimitri behaving secretive, lying, disappearing and feeding on Lizzie's energy (without her permission) because of the succubi feeding off of him. Lizzie and Dimitri are also having a power struggle during this adventure because each one is trying to protect the other from the succubi. Don't get me wrong, they are still a very hot couple; but through the first part of the book, it seemed to be more about sex and energy needs than about a "love" relationship. However, it did move back in a more positive note toward the end of the book. The plot was darker in this book than in the first book; but Lizzie needed the problems, the hurt, anger and frustration in order to grow and accept this new side of herself.I am looking forward to continuing this series to see how Lizzie and the biker witches are doing in the future.Disclosure: I was given a copy of this book by NetGalley and Season Publishing in exchange for an honest review.
review 2: I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. When I requested this book for review I didn't realize it was the second book in a series so I started off with book one before reading this one. While you could read it stand alone it did make a lot more sense after reading book one.The series is kinda weird for me, I like the world it is set in, I like the minor characters but I cannot stand the main character. I love the Red Skulls; a biker witch coven riding around on Harley's and I love Grandma the geriatric leader of the pack and the talking terrier does make me laugh. Max was a great anti-hero and even Dmitri was doable. Lizzie got on my last blonde nerve.Lizzie, a former pre-school teacher lived her life unaware of her legacy as a demon slayer or even magic util Grandma came visiting on her 30th birthday. Lizzie was thrown into the deep end of the magical world with little or no training. She was forced to rescue her Grandma from Hell and now she must rescue her fairy godfather and all of Las Vegas from an invasion of succubi. One of my biggest pet peeves with this story is you have adult sexual content in the form of love scenes but the author uses some juvenile euphemism for profanity. When you are being attacked by demons an "Oh Shit" is a whole lot more credible than "Oh Sheboygan". For me it was childish and reinforced Lizzie's complete incompetence, and it just plain drove me nuts. Like I said I do enjoy the world the author created with all kinds of supernatural creatures, it was entertaining. There was action from cover to cover and I love that in UF but I just can't get past the main character being so irritating. I don't really think I am going to continue with this series. less

Pretty good but couldn't keep my interest (which is why it took so long to read).
